This Saturday was simply fantastic. We had the honor of working with Juan and Diana.
Their story warms our hearts. Though they are married by court, Diana and Juan want their moment to shine and celebrate with all their loved ones.
Their story dates back to when they briefly met through the University of Illinois. They did not, however, start dating until they reconnected in 2017 at the John Barleycorn bar.
Juan proposed to Diana on June of 2020, where he wanted to take her to the Tulip Festival in Michigan as they are Diana's favorite flower, due to the pandemic they weren't able to travel. Juan was not about to let her down, Instead, he asked Diana's brother to borrow his backyard where he brought the festival to her.
With paintings made by Juan symbolizing when they first met, their first "I Love You" and their first big adventure of buying their home. Diana's nieces waited for her down the sidewalk, wearing tulip dresses, with a box that began playing "this magic moment." Juan then led her down a path of tulips where they finally came to a spot with lighting everywhere, tulips in the shape of a heart on the ground, where Juan knelt on one knee and proposed.
We absolutely loved hearing this story, it definitely showed us just how much love Juan and Diana have for each other. They both love going on outdoor adventures, especially ones where they can take their dog Luna with them. On the days when they are not out, they have many different shows they like catching upon.
With knowing their love for the outdoors we all met at the Morton Arboretum, with fall already here, we knew the leaves had started changing colors and it would be the perfect pop of color we wanted for their background.
Juan and Diana had no problem showing us just how much they enjoy each other's company, and how well they operate with each other. It was a beautiful thing to see.
We can't imagine just how much more fun and exciting their wedding will be!
Congratulations to our wonderful couple!
