Lifestyle Family Session: THE CASTROS FAMILY

There’s something so special about capturing a family in the comfort of their own home. It’s where they feel most like themselves, where the little moments happen—the cuddles on the couch, the soft lullabies, the laughter that fills each room. That’s exactly why this in-home session with Mayam, Jesus, and their sweet baby girl, Valerie, was so beautiful.

We’ve had the privilege of photographing Mayam and Jesus' journey from the very beginning. From their engagement session to their wedding day, and now, capturing their first professional family photos in their home—this is what we love most about our job. We don’t just take pictures; we build relationships, and seeing them grow as a family has been an absolute joy.

Their home was the perfect setting for their session—warm, inviting, and filled with love. Valerie was wide awake for most of the session, taking in everything around her with her bright eyes. She even gave us a few adorable giggles, which melted all of our hearts. We spent some time in her nursery, a dreamy space with beautiful pink walls and thoughtful little accents that made it feel so cozy and personal. It was clear how much love and care Maya and Jesus put into making this space perfect for their little girl.

As we moved through their home, we captured sweet moments of them snuggling, playing, and just soaking in this new chapter of their lives. One of the most heartwarming moments came when we went down to the kitchen. Valerie had been so alert the entire time, but as soon as Mayam played songs from the Coco movie soundtrack, she drifted off to sleep almost instantly—such a little angel!

Beyond the beautiful photos, what made this session truly special was how natural and effortless it felt. Walking into their home didn’t feel like just another session; it felt like catching up with old friends. We talked for hours, laughing and reminiscing. That’s the beauty of what we do—we get to create friendships, celebrate milestones, and witness families grow.
