Birdheaven Greenhouse Quinceañera Joliet IL

It was a warm and sunny day in Joliet, Illinois and the trees framed the quaint, brick church where Brianna Escamilla celebrated her quinceañera mass. Brianna had been all smiles throughout the day, and she looked every inch a princess in her teal, jewel-encrusted gown and dainty tiara. We were honored to be a part of her ceremony and capture several special moments including the blessings of the gifts, Brianna giving thanks for the Virgin Mary as well as leaving a sweet bouquet in Her honor, and when both Brianna and her mother shared a few tears. It truly was a beautiful ceremony complete with a mass tailored to fit Brianna in every way.

Following the ceremony, we headed over to Birdheaven Greenhouse to capture her court of honor photos! There were so many beautiful spots with the flowers in their prime that it was difficult to pick a background…but I settled on an area with gorgeous lighting as well as rows of bright, sunny black-eyed-susans and lavender salvia that I thought complemented her beautiful dress and gave an air of fun, youthful energy for her photos. We had a lot of laughs, and I was amazed at how easily Brianna posed in front of the camera—she followed direction so well, and her beautiful smile was natural and genuine.

After finishing her formal portraits and court of honor photos, we hurried to the reception which was held at Crystal Grand Banquets. The room was beautifully decorated with teal satin ribbons tied around the backs of the chairs, crystal chandeliers and sparkling centerpieces. Brianna enjoyed dinner and was entertained by a lively mariachi band before beginning her father-daughter dance. At first, Brianna and her father’s dance began as the expected slow, traditional dance, but then they surprised everyone by quickly transitioning to a fun, fast choreographed dance that had everyone in the room smiling and laughing. The traditional quinceanera vals was also followed by a “baile sopresa” where the girls joined in and everyone moved to the music! In the midst of all the dancing, the party was complete with a dancing LED robot that provided a hint of originality and really made Brianna’s quinceanera stand out!

I had so much fun working with Brianna and her family—she exuded joy and I’m pretty sure that gorgeous smile never left her face. Brianna, I hope you have a beautiful year, and I am so thankful that I was able to be a part of your special day!
