RACHEL + RAY

A timeless wedding at Georgios Banquets │Orland Park, IL

This weekend we were given the pleasure and the surprise to be able to be the ones to capture the amazing day of a beloved long-time friend.

Both Rachel and Ray met in grade school and despite Ray having moved away, they reconnected and have been together for 11 years. They enjoy not just being with each other, but being each other’s biggest supporters.

Rachel and Ray had booked us for their magical day and we had previously met with Rachel and we would “meet” Ray the day of the wedding.

As the day of the wedding arrived we were a bit nervous meeting our groom as we weren’t sure how it would go, to our surprise Ray had been a long-time friend we actually worked with back in the day and played some video games with.

Both ceremony and reception were held at Georgios Banquets in Orland Park. We loved how Rachel and Ray chose to go with a soft yet elegant theme. Rachel wore a very beautiful lace body-fitting gown not too simple yet not too much. It came together very nicely, especially with her bouquet and the mint color dresses worn by her bridesmaids. We were very astonished by how Georgios decor made for great backgrounds.

The ceremony was lovely and everyone seemed to be in great spirits despite the rainy weather. Rachel walking down the aisle was definitely a sight for sore eyes! Her smile so radiant we couldn’t help but notice that even Ray couldn’t hold in his smile either. The way he looked at her was of something out of a fairytale book.

Immediately after the ceremony, we followed along to the grand ballroom for the reception. We loved the atmosphere and the vibes of pure love from all their family members made for a wonderful night. Everyone was up and dancing, which if you ask us, the fact that Rachel was in sneakers and her bridesmaids in sneakers as well was not just a cute idea, but a fantastic one at that!

It was a great night where even though we knew we were there to make sure our bride and groom have the best memories to look back to, it was also great to see a good friend start an amazing journey. Best wishes to two fantastic people, Rachel and Ray!
